JENNIE ATKINS

Jennie Pearl Atkins, 86, 1625 Gobble, died late Wednesday afternoon at Muscatine General Hospital.

Services will be held at 1:30 pm Friday at the Geo. M. Wittich Funeral Home. Burial wil be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitiation is after 7 this evening at the funeral home.

Jennie Atkins was born Oct. 3, 1892 in New Boston, the daughter of John and Mary Hannah Rose Catterson. She had lved in Muscatine most of her life.

Her marriage to Harry Way Atkins took place June 13, 1914 in Muscatine. She attended Lincoln Boulevard Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Harry W. II of St. Paul, Minn. and Paul S. of Muscatine, two daughters, Rev. Leon (Martha) Emmert of Kimshasa, Africa and Mrs. Harold (Pearl) Martin of Muscatine; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son and two granddaughters.

Services for Jennie P. Atkins, 86, were held at 1:30 pm Friday at the Geo. M. Wittich Funeral Home.

Keith R. Sorensen officiated. Mrs. Richard Dilts was the organist and Mrs. Vernon Keiser the vocalist.

Pallbearers were Harry Martin, Frank Martin, Eugene Martin, Vernon Wilson, Don Emmert and Roger Strong.

Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Jennie P. Atkins died Wednesday at Muscatine General Hospital.
