WILLIAM T. HARKEY SERVICES SLATED HERE ON MONDAY

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Monday at the Geo. M. Wittich Funeral Home for William Thomas Harkey, 66, whose death occurred at 3:10 pm Friday at Muscatine General Hospital, following an extended illness. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Harkey was born Nov. 25, 1891 at Wellington, Kan., the son of John and Catherine Vulgamore Harkey. He was married to Sylvia DeLap. A resident of Muscatine for the past 58 years, his home was at 514 West Sixth street. He was a member of the Moose lodge.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter Mrs. Gerald Rieke, Muscatine; three stepsons, Clyde Martin, in Michigan and James and Wayne DeLap, Muscatine; two step-daughters, Deanna and Vanessa DeLap, at home; three brothers, George Harkey, Santa Clara, Calif., Clarence Harkey, Dubuque, and Harry Harkey, Moline; two sisters, Mrs. William Brushear, Wilton, Wis., and Mrs. Katherine Wharton, Cedar Rapids, one half-sister, Mrs. Harry Cray, Iowa City; his step-mother, Mrs. Rosalie Harkey, Iowa City; and seven grandchildren.

Prededing him in death were one sister, one brother, and one granddaughter.

Services for William T. Harkey, 66, who died Friday at Muscatine General Hospital, were held at 2 pm Monday at the George M. Wittich Funeral Home. The Rev. Dean Buster of Grandview was in charge. Organ music was played by Mrs. George Holliday.

Flower attendants included Leona Cubbage, Ethel Young, Mrs. Duane Tomlin and Mrs. Delia Essex. Pallbearers were Dale Airhood, Raymond Ahlf, Gus Thuman, William Fox, Walter Bayers and Howard Hidlebaugh.

Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery.
