24 July 1874 Page 4Death from Tumors – The wife of John Chown, living about nine miles west of this city, on Cedar river, died last Monday at her home after a lingering illness of about two years, caused by three internal tumors, one on the stomach and two on the bowels. Her age was 54 years. She was held in the highest esteem by all who knew her.
