West Liberty, Ia., Oct 16 – Mrs. Elizabeth Poole, widow of J. E. Poole, died early morning at her home on West Sixth street, after an illness of about one week, the result of a stroke of paralysis. Mrs. Poole was 78 years of age, and had lived in this community since she was 11 years old. She was born at Bellefontaine O.
Mr. Poole died 31 years ago, while they made their home on a farm southwest of West Liberty, and for a number of years she lived in town, her grandson. Spencer Conklin, making his own with her.
The following children survive: Mrs. W. J. Moylan, of Iowa City; Mrs. James Kelly of Boston, Mass.; A. B. Poole, W. M. Poole, Fred Poole and Mrs. Vearl Heath, of Nichols.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, from the home, conducted by L. F. Davis, pastor of the local Christian church. Burial will be made at Oakridge cemetery.
