Hazel F. Poole, 89, Lone Tree, died Wednesday at the Lone Tree Health Care Center.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Sorden Chapel, Lone Tree, with the Rev. William Keller officiating. Pallbearers are Richard Hillyer, Bill Cline, Max Chown, Dana Chown, Kevin Chown, Smith Davies, Jim Chown, and Fred Chown. Burial will be in the Nichols Public Cemetery, Nichols.
Visitation is today at the chapel where a memorial has been established.
Mrs. Poole was born Dec 22, 1895, in Mercer County, Illinois, a daughter of Lewis and Jane Elizabeth Curry Bixby. On March 18, 1914 she married Fred F. Poole in Muscatine. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, the Rebekah Lodge and the Nichols Christian Church.
She is survived by 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, one son, four brothers and five sisters.
