West Liberty, March 26, -- Mrs. William Poole, a well known and highly respected resident of this city, passed away at her home, three and one-half miles south of this city, as the result of a paralytic stroke suffered a week ago today.
Mrs. Poole was born in Virginia, on August 15, 1836. Her parents removed to Iowa two years later. Mrs. Poole was married on November 20, 1855. She has been a continuous resident of the farm home where her death occurred since 1863.
She is survived by her husband and children. They are: Milburn, of Oklahoma; Emmett, who resides near West Liberty; Mrs. Laura Moore of Cripple Creek, Colo.; Walter, of Farmington Ia., and Willis and Rebecca, who reside at home.
The arrangements for the funeral have not yet been definitely settled, but it will probably be held Saturday.
