Raymond Linder
MUSCATINE, Iowa -- Raymond Linder, 70, Muscatine, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2004, at his home.

Memorial services are at the Jeffrey S. Nichols Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Crematory. The Rev. Brian Saunders will officiate. Private burial will be at Eliza Creek Cemetery with military rites conducted by the combined squads of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1565 and American Legion Post 27.

Memorials may be made to Unity Hospice.

He was born May 16, 1933, in Mercer County, Ill., the son of Clarence and Mildred Linder. He married Beverly Beverlin in 1958 and later married Pat Linder.

He served as an aircraft mechanic in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

He was employed at Alcoa Company and Pioneer Seed Company of Durant.

He was a member of the VFW and the Royal Order of the Moose.

He was an avid pool player and enjoyed playing the Iowa Scratch Lottery and his friends at the Clark House.

Survivors include a brother, Kenneth Linder and wife, Marlene, of Muscatine; a niece, Valerie Moeller and husband, Don, of Durant; two nephews, Charles Linder and wife, Debra, of Flora, Ill., and Kenneth Linder and wife, Sherry, of Moscow; seven great-nieces and nephews; an uncle, Rupert Linder of Keithsburg; and two aunts, Martha Linder of Milan, Ill., and Cora Miller and husband, Robert, of Walcott.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
