KENNETH HONTS

Kenneth F. Honts, 67, 1013 Wier St., died at 12:30 pm Friday at Muscatine General Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Monday at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home. Pastor Don Harding will officiate and burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 10 am Sunday.

Kenneth Honts was born Jan. 11, 1908 at Muscatine, the son of Jessie F. and Minnie Bartenhagen Honts. He was a life resident of the area.

He married Esther Burke July 22, 1954 at Muscatine. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, The Elks Lodge, Moose, American Legion and was a veteran of World War II. He was the former owner of Brownbilt Shoe Store.

Surviving are his wife; a step-son, Billie Burke, Harlington, Tex.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Clyde (Beverly) Schaffer, Portland, Orle.; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
