KERMIT V. HONTS

Kermit V. Honts, 56, of 1002 Main St., Davenport, died Sunday morning after a sudden heart attack.

Mr. Honts had been a resident of Muscatine most of his life before moving to Davenport three years ago. He was a guard with the Per-Mar Investigation company at Davenport.

Mr. Honts was born March 20, 1910 in Muscatine, the son of Jesse F. and Minnie Bartenhagen Honts.

He was married July 1, 1936 at New Era, to Nellie Westerman.

He was a former member of Grace Lutheran Church in Muscatine, and of the Moose Lodge where he had served as junior governor.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Nellie Honts, Davenport; one son, Gary L. Honts. U.S. Air Force stationed in Vietnam; one daughter, Mrs. Ed(Connie) Wickman of Davenport; one brother, Kenneth Honts of Muscatine; his mother, Mrs. Minnie Honts, Muscatine; and five grandchildren.

The body is at the Ralph J. Wittich funeral home, where services are pending. Friends may call starting Tuesday.

Interment will be at the Conesville cemetery.
