JAMES E. HONTS

James E. Honts, 51, route 1 Nichols, died at 6:00 pm Thursday at his home.

He was born Dec. 15, 1913, at Winfield, the son of Robert and Emma E. Cadogan Honts.

He was a former resident of Muscatine, moving to the Nichols community about five years ago.

He married Juanita LaRue, June 5, 1937, in Muscatine. He was a member of the Moose lodge, and had worked 20 years for the H.J. Heinz Co.

He is survived by his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Richard (Rosalee) Watkins, Muscatine, and the Misses Jeanne, Cynthia, and Samantha Honts, at home; two brothers Lloyd of Muscatine, and Ferrell of Iowa City; two sisters, Mrs. George Yocum, Muscatine, and Mrs. Floyd Lawson, Hampton, Ill.

His parents and two brothers preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Moday at the George M. Wittich Funeral home.

The Rev. W. Ray Thompson will be the officiating pastor.

Interment will be at Greenwood cemetery.
