August Dedrick

Nichols - August Dedrick, 78, died Sunday, Nov. 30., at 2:45 P.M. at his home in Nichols. Death was attributed to a heart condition which had caused an extended illness.

Mr. Dedrick, former city marshal and street commissioner here, was born Feb. 25, 1880, and was a life-long resident of Nichols. He was married in 1903 to Mary Catherine Lewis.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Mayes of West Liberty; one sister, Mrs. Emelia Lincoln of Muscatine; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, at the Nichols Methodist church, Rev. Nancy Nichols officiating. Interment will be at Nichols.

The body is at Snider funeral home, West Liberty.
