Pearl Worth $3,000 Found
A pearl weighing forty and one-half grains was the find of Bert Robey, a shell digger in the Mississippi near Muscatine. He was offered $2,000 for it, but refused the offer, holding the pearl to be worth $3,000. It is the largest find known to have been made in these waters.
