I could not locate the actual obituary but I did find some information for you, including her date of marriage, her husband and information about her daughter, Beverly.

Mabel James is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Shenandoah, Page County, Iowa

News item:

The death of Mrs, Mabel James, 42, of Shenandoah in a Red Oak apartment March 21 was ruled "due to a combination of self-administered drugs and alcohol with a trace of pneumonia," according to Coroner Delaine Sellergren of Red Oak. Sellergren announced the verdict after conferring with other authorities on a pathologist's report received Monday. Mrs. James had been secretary of the U. S. soil conservation area office at Shenandoah six years.

A double wedding which is of interest to Spencer friends occurred at Dakota City, Neb., Monday, March 23rd when Mrs. Corinne Rasmuson of Spencer and C. L. Montange of Sioux City and Miss Mabel Craig of Spencer and Emmerson James, also of Sioux City, were united in marriage. After a short honeymoon, both couples returned to Sioux City, where they are making their future homes. Up until the time of her marriage, Mrs. James had been attending the Spencer high school.
