Rites for Mrs. Johanna Gustafson, 83, Took Place Here Wednesday Afternoon
Funeral services for Mrs. Johanna Gustafson, 83 years old widow, were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Mission Covenant church with Rev. Otto Nelson officiating. Burial was in Mamre cemetery. Pullbearers were Otto Johnson, John Holmquist, Victor Ruden, Arvid Johnson, Julius Reed and Fritz Falk.
Not many facts are known concerning the deceased. She was born December 19, 1840 [1860] in Skona Sweden and when about 30 years old came to American. Her husband, Charles Gustafson, died here April 1934. She died early Monday at the home of Mrs. Ellen Johnson where she has resided for the last three months. Death was reported due to old age and complications. She had been ill for about three weeks. Surviving is a half brother, John Anderson of Omaha.
