C. A. Gustafson Died Tuesday Following Illness of a Week
Funeral Services Will Be Held Saturday Afternoon; Was a Native of Sweden
Charles A. Gustafson, 73, died at his home west of Stanton at 3:45 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, April 17, following a week’s illness. Death was due to complications. Mr. Gustafson was born in Sweden on April 19, 1860, and came to this country when a young man. Thirty-four years ago he came to this community and for many years lived on his little farm where he died. He was married to Hannah Anderson at Red Oak on April 25, 1896, who survives. He is also survived by two sisters and a brother in Sweden. Mrs. Lena Nelson of Stanton was a cousin. Funeral services will be held next Saturday afternoon at the Lutheran church, of which he had long been a member, at 2:30 o’clock. Rev. E. D. Strandberg, pastor of the Mission church, will be in charge. Interment will be in Mamre cemetery. The following will serve as pallbearers: John E. Johnson, Charles E. Swanson, Arvid E. Johnson, Ed. Olson, P. A. Carlson, and A. T. Falk.
