Rites Sunday for Marvaleen Reed; Illness Fatal Wednesday to Stanton Woman
Services will be held at her home at 2 p.m. and at the Mamrelund Lutheran Church at 2:30 o’clock on Sunday afternoon for Miss Marvaleen Reed, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Reed of Stanton, who died Wednesday evening at 11:30 o’clock after a short critical illness. Miss Reed would have been 29 years old in December. She had remained at home all her life holding several positions in Red Oak, where she had built a circle of friends and acquaintances. Rev. A. Leonard Smith, pastor of Mamreland Lutheran church will be in charge Sunday afternoon. Sellergren Service will direct. Pallbearers will be Melvin Erickson, Myron Lindgren, Glenn Swanson, Allen Nimrod, Donald Nimrod and Donald Peterson. Mrs. Vincent Anderson and Mrs. Myron Lindgren will be in charge of music. Appointment of flower bearers has not been made. Marvaleen Geraldine Reed was born two and one-half miles south of Stanton, December 10, 1911, the daughter of Julius and Ina Reed. She had never married. In addition to her parents she is survived by her grandmother, Mrs. Ida Isaacson. Interment will be in the Mamre cemetery.
