Earl Albenson, Services Held Dec 7
Funeral services for Earl Otto Albenson, 70, of Corning were held Friday, Dec 7, at Mamrelund Lutheran Church in Stanton with Pastor Julius Peterson officiating. Mr. Albenson, who until two months ago, was a lifetime resident of Stanton, died December 4, at Rosary Hospital in Corning following surgery. The son of Albert and Lena Albenson, he was born in Stanton on April 9, 1903 and lived in the Stanton area all of his life with the exception of two years he spent in California. He was married to Ruby Scott of December 20, 1933 in Stanton. He was baptized and confirmed in the Mamrelund Lutheran Church in Stanton and was a member of that church at the time of his death. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife, Ruby of Corning and one sister, Mrs. Alta Shogren of Stanton, many nieces and nephew. Burial was in Mamre Cemetery in Stanton with the Roland Funeral Home of Corning in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Myron Lindgren, organist and Dwight Vernnerberg, soloist, furnished music for the service. Ushers were Gerald Shogren and Lester H. Anderson. Flowers were cared for by Mr. and Mrs. Richard Peterson and Mrs. Hazel Stucker. Casket bearers were Frank L. Olson, Reuben Eklof, Alfred Swanson, Linnie Swanson, Roland Mudd and Ralph Porter.
