Final Rites Held For Gust Adolphson, 75, Retired Farmer
Funeral services for Gust R. Adolphson, 75, Stanton, retired farmer, were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Sellergren Funeral home in Red Oak. He died in Red Oak Thursday morning at Murphy Memorial hospital after being ill several weeks. Rev. Herbert Bjorkquist officiated and burial was in Mamre cemetery, Stanton. Pallbearers were Theodore Lofgren, Conrad Alm, Elmer C. Anderson, Gust Falk, Carl V. Peterson and Frank Mellott. The son of Gust and Hannah Adolphson, he was born Sept. 15, 1884, in Kisa, Sweden, and came to Minnesota in 1902. He later lived at Mount Pleasant and moved to the Nyman community in 1914. He is survived by a half-sister, Karin Sadarburg, in Sweden, and two half-brothers, Nels Anderson of Stanton and Swan O. Anderson of Denver. He was a member of the Fremont Lutheran Church at Nyman.
