Mrs. Thomas Wheeler, aged 100 years, 8 months and 20 days,is dead at the home of her son, Merritt Wheeler of Sciola.

It has been the custom to have a picnic on her birthday and July 24,1900, despite bad roads and threatening weather, over 1,000 people of all ages called and paid their respects to her.

Her sight and hearing had failed, but her mental qualities were unimpaired. She was quite feeble and weighed but 70 pounds.
