Graveside services for Harley Foreman, 74, Carroll will be held in Red Oak at a later date with Rev. Paul Uzel of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. No other services are scheduled. Arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll. Mr. Foreman died Wednesday, ( Feb. 7, 2001 ) at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

He was born Nov. 22, 1926 in Red Oak to Ellett and Elsie ( Smith ) Foreman. He attended school in Red Oak and was married to geraldine Elliott Jan. 4, 1946 in Red Oak . He served in the U.S. Navy from 1945-1946. The couple moved to Carroll in 1956 and he went to work for the Carroll Daily Times Herald in the press room. He retired in 1990. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Carroll.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Richard Foreman, one sister, and five brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Foreman of Carroll, a son, Larry Foreman of Red Oak, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren.
