Funeral services for Lola Belle Rieken, 79, Griswold were Thursday, Dec. 31, at the First United Methodist Church in Griswold withthe Rev. Jeff Dadisman officiating. Burial was in the Griswold Cemetery. Duhn Funeral Home in Griswold was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Rieken died Tuesday ( Dec. 29 , 1998 ) at the Griswold Care Center.

She was born Sept. 9, 1919 in Shelby, NE. to Austin and Susan Belle Davis. She graduated fron high school in Belgrade, NE. She married Delbert Rieken in Albion, NE, July 1, 1941. They lived and farmed in the Albion area until 1948 when they moved to Griswold and remained there until her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Austin.

Survivors include her husband, Delbert Rieken of Griswold, four sons, Roger Rieken and his wife, Glynna of Hatch, NM., Chuck Rieken and his wife, Doris, of Griswold, Doug Rieken amd his wife Brenda, of Boone, and George Rieken and his wife, Diane, of Brookings, SD, one daughter, Janice Dittman and her husband, Jack of Milford, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, five brothers, Wallace, Eugene, Kenneth, Arthur, and George, three sisters, Deva Van DeWalle, Winnie Danaher, and Kathleen Teasar.
