Funeral services for Florence Larson, 92, Stanton, were Thursday, Jan. 7, at the Mamrelund Lutheran Church with Rev. David Strommen officiating. Burial was in the Mamre Cemetery. Nelson-Boylan Funeral Chapel in Red Oak was in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the Mamrelund Lutheran Church. Mrs. Larson died Monday, ( Jan. 4, 1999) at the Stanton Care Center after an extended illness.

She was born Sept. 8, 1906, on a farm near Stanton to Frank and Mamie ( Quist ) Nelson. She graduated from the Stanton High School in
1924, and was a life long resident of Stanton. She was united in maarriage to Wayne Larson, April 2, 1934 in Stanton. He preceded her in death March 30, 1995. She was a member of the Mamrelund Lutheran Church, Church Circle, a charter member of the Worthwhile Club and a charter member of Entre Nous.

Survivors include a son, Phillip Larson and his wife, Lori, of Stanton, daughter, Betty Anderson and her husband, Carl of Shorewood, MN, four grandchildren, Karen Veaner and her husband, Daniel of Lansing, NY., Carl Anderson and his wife, Christina, of Bancock, Thailand, Kristin Anderson and her husband, John of Minneapolis, MN., and Cinthia Jenkins of Villisca, three great grandchildren, Benjamin and Allison Veaner, and Noah Anderson, sister, Hazel Peterson of Stanton, other relatives and friends.
