Funeral services for Dean O. Jones, 70, Panora, will be Saturday, Feb. 20, at the Panora Methodist Church. A Masonic service will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at Beidelman Funeral Home in Panora, with visitation immediately following. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Hope, Perry, IA. Mr. Jones died Thursday, ( Feb. 11, 1999) at his home following a lengthy illness.

He was born Aug. 19, 1928, in Wales, IA. he lived in Wales, Creston, Emerson, Mason City, and Des Moines, and retired to Lake Panora in 1994. He graduated from Emerson High School in 1946. he married Margaret " Ann" Bahnsen in 1957. He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rites and Za-Ga-Zag Shrine Temple.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Marie Jones of Emerson, brother, Galen Jones of Emerson, and his father-in-law, Harold Bahnsen of Waterloo.

Survivors include his wife, Ann of Panora, son, David Jones and his wife, Lorelle, of West Des Moines, daughter, Valerie Steuber and her husband, Curt, of Cedar Rapids, grand daughter, Elizabeth Steuber of Cedar Rapids, sister, Arlene Samuelson and her husband, Bob of Emerson, mother-in-law, Evelyn Bahnsen of Panora, other relatives and friends.
