Funeral services for Opal D. Milligan, 77, Villisca, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Villisca with Rev. Jerome Wagoner officiating. Burial will be in the Villisca Cemetery. There will be open visitation at the funeral home and memorials may be directed to the Mt.Calvary Lutheran Church or any of teh donor's choice. Mrs. Milligan died Saturday ( Jan. 2,1999) at Montgomery County memorail Hospital in Red Oak, where she had beeen a patient since early December 1998.

She was born March 16, 1921, in Rosemont, NE., to Ed and Dena Arend Quiggle. She married Harry James Milligan June 19, 1959, in Omaha. She retired as a bookkeeper for the Villisca Power Company after 27 years of service. She was a member of the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Villisca. She had also served on the board for the Villisca Good Samaritian Center for several years.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Milligan of Villisca, daughter, Beverly Lindell of Lincoln, NE.,two grandchildren, Mrs. Chris ( Robin ) MacKnight of Lincoln, NE., and Jeffery Lindell and his wife, Reka, of Des Moines, two great grandchildren, Teagan and Trey MacKnight, a sister-in-law, Treva Milligan of Chicago, IL.
