Funeral services for Lilly Gibson, 93, Corning, formerly of Prescott were Wednesday, Jan. 17, at Coen-Beaty Funeral Home in Corning with the Rev. Dr. Jeanne Groom officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Prescott. Memorials are in her name, Mrs. Gibson died Sunday ( Jan. 14, 1999) at Corning Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born July 14, 1905, northwest of Prescott to Edwin and Anna ( Mudra) Blozek. She had lived allher life in Adams County and graduated from Prescott High School in 1923. She taught in rural schools before her marriage to Lester Leon Gibson, Aug. 19, 1925 in Corning.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lester Gibson, in 1975, daughter, Alice Highsmith, son, John Gibson, sister, Albena Young and brothers, Charles, Joe and Rudolph Blazek.

Survivors include her daughters, Connie ( husband, George) Williamson of Prescott, and Lois ( husband, Wade ) Dimmitt of Red Oak, son, Karl ( wife, Valerie ) Gibson of Nuevo, CA. 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren.
