Funeral services for Donald C. "Donnie" Lee, 45, Emerson, were Monday, Jan. 18, at Nelson-Boylan Funeral Chapel with Rev. Max Hall officiating. Burial was in the Emerson Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Emerson Fire and Rescue Squad. Mr. Lee died Friday ( Jan. 15, 1999) in Mills County due to injures sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born May 24, 1953 in Centerville to Donald R. and Charlottee ( Phillips ) Lee. He graduated from Tri Center High School in Neola in 1972. The family moved to Emerson in 1973 and for the past 22 years, he has been employed by Glenwood State Hospital School. He loved to play pool, enjoyed hunting and visiting with friends.

Survivors include his daughter, Heather Lee of Omaha, son, Craig Lee of Emerson, parents, Donald R. and Charlotte Lee of Emerson, sister, Connie Bowen and her husband, David and their childrenm Joshua, Nathan, and Bryan, all of Henderson, brother, Michael Lee of Glenwood, three aunts, Frances Bauer and her husband, Max, of Red Oak, Romona Baxter of Shenandoah, and Catherine Lilley , and her husband, Charley, of Sheridan, uncle, Floyd Phillips and his wife, Verna, of Hernandez, Fl., great uncle, Bill Lee of Seymour, many cousins, other relatives and friends.
