Rites Are Saturday For Mrs. CarverFuneral services for Mrs. Margaret Carver, 93, a Red Oak resident the past 35 years, will be held Saturday, April 21, at 2 p. m. at the Perryman-Nelson Chapel here.
She died Monday, April 16, at her home, 308 Third Avenue, after an extended illness.
The Rev. Asa Popp will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery here. Music will be by Mrs. Orrin Carmichael. Bearers will be Charles Liddick, Guy Baker, Russell Kelly, William McMichael, Jim Brown and Frank England.
The daughter of Joseph and Mary Jefferies, she was born April 14, 1863, at LaCyne, Kan. and was married in 1887 at Mount Vernon, Mo. to Isaac N. Carver, who died in 1924. She was a member of the Babtist church and lived at Fort Scott, Kan. before coming to Red Oak 35 years ago.
Survivng are two duaghters Mrs. Pearl Hoagland of Red Oak and Mrs. Arthur Scribner of Farmington, N. M; two sons, Ercey of Chillicothe, Ohio and R. A. of Fort Scott, Kan; 30 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
