SERVICES HELD FOR JOHN F. HOUSTON

Requiem high mass was observed at St. Francis Xavier church in Council Bluffs Monday, Dec. 17 for John F. (Jack) Houston, employee of the North western Bell Telephone Co. in Red Oak, who died at his home, 607 Elm street, Friday, Dec. 14, following a illness of several weeks. Burial was in St. Joseph cemetery, Council Bluffs.

Mr. Houston had been employed by Northwestern Bell for the past 23 years, the last 12 in Red Oak. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church, the Holy Name society and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Survivors are his wife: three brothers, James of Dunlap, Raymond of Woodbine and Leonard of LaSalle, Colorado; five sisters, Mrs. Helen Carmichael of Dunlap, Mrs. Margaret Darding and Mrs. Catherine Springer, both of Chicago, Mrs. Ruth Hallstrom of Kansas City, Missouri, Mrs. Mary Dombach of Portland, Oregon.
