GEORGE PATTON IS DEAD

George Patton died Wednesday evening of this week at about nine o’clock at the home of his son, Lewis Patton in east Villisca. Mr. Patton had suffered for many months from a complication of diseases and most of that time had been bedfast. He is survived by his wife and two sons: Lewis Patton of this city and Alva Patton of Wellsville, Ohio. The deceased had lived in Villisca for twenty-five years and at the time of his death was in his eighty-seventh year. Thursday noon definite arrangements had not been made for the funeral services. Relatives had not yet received word as to whether the son, Elva Patton of Wellsville, Ohio would be able to attend or not. If he should come the services will probably be held Saturday afternoon from the Lewis Patton home. Burial will be made in the Villisca cemetery.
