PEARL JENEVA GARDNER

Funeral services for Pearl Jeneva Gardner, 89, were Mar. 23, 1993, at the Keating-Lindsay Golden Rule Funeral Home in Creston with Joyce Basler officiating. Burial was in Villisca Cemetery, Villisca, IA. She died on Mar. 19, 1993, at the Crest Haven Care Center in Creston. Memorial are suggested to the St. John’s Church of Christ, Creston.
Honorary pallbearers were Cathy Holliday and Melinda Martin. Pallbearers were Thomas Boelling, Bob Boelling, James Boelling, Larry Johnson, Mike Johnson and Russ Burgman. Jean Schmoll was organist.
Pearl was born Nov. 16, 1903, in Villisca, to Charles A. and Selma C. Peterson Wert. She married Samuel L. Gardner on Jan. 26, 1922, in Clarinda, IA. Pearl was a long-time resident of Villisca until moving to Creston in 1985. She was a member of the Villisca United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband; infant sister; and sister, Tillie Irwin.
Survivors include daughters, Billie M. Johnson of Creston and Helen C. Boelling of Des Moines, IA; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
