FROM NEWSPAPER CLIPPING FOUND IN FAMILY BIBLE:

Osie M. Allison, 90, of Albia died June 29, 1986, at Albia Manor. She was born Feb. 17, 1896, in Monroe County to Doster and Avilda Sperry Major. She married Wesley A. Allison Feb. 11, 1913, in Albia. He dide in 1982. She had spent her life in the Albia community and was a member of the Baptist Church. She is survived by four daughters, Elsie Rowley and Ellen Potter, both of Albia, Elizabeth Groet of Oskaloosa and Dorothy Trotter of Newton; six sons, Dewey, Albert and Doster, all of Oskaloosa, Lester of Los Angelas, Calif., Milo of Minnesota and Richard of Des Moines; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Milo Major of Albia. She was preceded in death by a son, John Wesley. The service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Gilbert Funeral Home in Albia, the Rev. Lonnie Husley officiating. Burial will be in Eslinger Cemetery in Monroe County. Visitation is open.
