Francis E. Hoover, 71, of Wichita, Kan., died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005 in Wichita. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 16, 2005 at Trinity Nazarene Church in Ottumwa. The cremains will be buried at a later time in Hiteman Cemetery. The family requests no flowers.
He was born July 26, 1933 in Monroe County to Brink and Anna Thomas Hoover. He was raised in the Albia area. He married Maxine Parks March 26, 1955 and they later divorced. He farmed and was a long haul semi driver.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, of Wichita; three children, Joyce and (David) Wheeler, Jayne and (Guy) Almon, all of Oskaloosa, and Jan and (Rev. Cyril) McKay of Fremont; nine grandchildren; one stepchild; step-grandchildren of Wichita; and two sisters, Millie Eastlick of Surprise, Ariz. and Mary Gray of Albia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Robert; son, Jeffrey; brother, Wilbert; and sister, Maxine Havelock.
Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services in Wichita is in charge of arrangements.
