Harold L. Anderson

Harold L. Anderson, 68, of Moline, Ill., died Thursday, June 12, 2003, at his home. Funeral services were 10 a.m. Monday, June 16, 2003, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Coal Valley, Ill., preceded by family prayers at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Trimble Funeral Home in Moline, Rev. Michael Schaab, officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Rock Island, Ill.
He was born Nov. 21, 1934, in Albia, the son of John and Helen (Carlson) Anderson. He married Patricia Morris on Nov. 23, 1955, in Albia. She died Dec 17, 1974. He married Janice Fitzgerald on July 17, 1976, in Coal Valley, Ill. He was a driver for Bonnett Wholesale Florist in Milan for over 10 years, retiring in 1996. He previously was co-owner of Air Freight Delivery Services in Moline for 25 years. He had been a member of the former Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Moline, National Rifle Association, and AARP. He loved to fish and enjoyed playing pool.
He is survived by his wife, Janice; three children and their spouses, Merri Jean and Doug Bush of Trotwood, Ohio, Kelly L. and Dallas Jo Anderson of Milan, and Kenny A. Anderson of Rock Island; six grandchildren, Bradley, Katie and Jennie Bush, and Nicholas, Kelsey and Haley Anderson; and 11 siblings, Lloyd Anderson and Gerald Anderson, both of Albia, Mason Anderson and Evelyn Barker, both of Des Moines, Virginia Sims of Butterfield, Mo., Audrey Post of Hemet, Calif., John Anderson of Cedar Rapids, Richard Anderson of Altoona, Ernest Anderson of Tulsa, Okla., Ida Mae Collins of Henderson, Ken., and Margaret Mary Darrah of Defiance, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia; his parents; and one brother, Donald Anderson.
