Memories

Mrs. John Scieszinski passed peacefully to her eternal rest at 6 o'clock Tuesday morning after several weeks’ illness which was bore with Christian resignation.

Teresa Catherine* Foley was born June 13*, 1884 and departed this life, Feb. 15, 1916, age 32 years, 8 months.

She leaves to mourn her a heart broken husband and 3 little boys, John, Emmett, and James, the eldest boy was 8 years old the day his mother died. She also leaves her parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters* and many other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Scieszinski was a most devout Catholic with strict observance of her duty to God and undying love and devotion to her family. Even when she was called to part with her loved ones in death, her grief gave utterance only to the words “God's Will be Done”, possessing a sweet kind and loving disposition toward all her friends were many.

The funeral ceremonies were held at St. Patrick's church at Melrose and were largely attended, her pastor Rev. Father McCormick read the Requiem High Mass and spoke the sermon on the faithful and beautiful christian life of the deceased. The remains were tenderly laid to rest in Mt. Calvary cemetery beside her little daughter who preceded her a year ago.

The pall bearers were two brothers, John and Harry Foley, and her brothers-in-law, Dan Scieszinski, S. D. O'Bryan, Edward Scieszinski and E. J. McLamar.
