Shirley Scieszinski

Shirley Scieszinski, 76, of Albia, died Monday, Feb. 27, 1995, at her home in Venice, Fla. Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Rev. Thomas Doyle and Rev. Jerrold Swinton officiating. Burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery.

She was born July 20, 1918, in Oskaloosa to Glen E. Hatchitt and Hazelle W. Coffin Hatchitt. She married Richard Love Oct. 23, 1938. He died March 15, 1974. She later married Jack Scieszinski July 14, 1979, in Albia. She was a homemaker and owner of Love Rexall Drug Store. She was a member of Albia Women's Club and Chapter H PEO.

She is survived by her husband; four sons, James E. Love of Knoxville, Richard D. Love of Grand Rapids, Wis., John R. Love of Ames and Stephen P. Love of Columbus, Ohio; two stepsons, Mike and Jack Scieszinski of Albia; three step-daughters, Sharon Hansen of Plymouth, Minn., Susan Kennedy of Sparta, N.J., and Patty Hannam of Albia; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; six sisters, Eleanor Bricker, Mary Geisler and Norma Thompson, all of Venice, Fla., Kathryn Jones of Foley, Ala., Marge Ehlers of Tampa, Fla., and Frances Hatfield of Pompono Beach, Fla.; and a brother, Larry Hatchitt of Tampa, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and a stepson, Kevin Sciesinski.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday at Geyer-Nordstrom Funeral Chapel in Albia. Wake service will be at 7 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Geyer-Nordstrom Funeral Chapel in Albia is in charge of funeral arrangements.
