OBITUARY

Thomas Griffin, age 79 years, died Thursday at the county home, southeast of Lovilia, following an extended illness. He had lived in the home for the past six years.

Mr. Griffin was born in Aledo county, Ill., and later moved to Monroe county. For many years he resided in Cedar township, later moving to Lovilia.

Surviving are three children, Rosie Humpton, Agnes of Des Moines and James of Kansas City; one sister, Mrs. Johanna Hollinrake of Adair, other relatives and many friends.

The body was taken to the home of his nephew, John Hollinrake at Weller, until the funeral was held.

Funeral services were held Friday morning, January 12, 1934, at St. Mary's church at Weller, the service being in charge of the Rev. Father Joseph Wagner. Burial was made in the Weller cemetery.
