Wm. Shaw Dead

The death of Wm. Shaw occurred at his home in the Fourth Ward Tuesday night, and the funeral will be held at the Christian church this afternoon.

Mr. Shaw has been in a feeble condition several months and his death was not unexpected, though a shock to his many friends and relatives.

He was one of our oldest and most respected citizens, having been in the mercantile business here many years ago. His aged wife and two daughters, Mrs. May Meeker and Mrs. Lena Kroeger are left to mourn the loss of a good kind husband and father. He was a member of the 1820 club which made him 88 years of age*.

NOTE: *Tombstone reflects December 19, 1831 as date of birth and February 11, 1908 as date of death.
