Mrs. Hook Dies In Des Moines

Word was received here of the death of Mrs. Frances Hook, 75, who died at the home of her foster son, Ernest Hook, in Des Moines, at 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23, after a long period of illness.

She was born in Monroe county near Selection, the daughter of Thomas and Nancy Ann Baldwin and grew to womanhood in that community. Mrs. Hook made her home in Moravia with her sister, the late Miss Elizabeth Baldwin, for about ten years. In 1934 she went to Des Moines where she has since resided.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Des Moines with the Rev. Harry Herline, pastor of the Miller Memorial U. B. Church, in charge. Burial was made at Norwalk.
