John A. Scieszinski

Services for John A. Scieszinski, 74, of 1045 Bouchard, who died Saturday in Mercy Hospital after a long illness, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Visitation is from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Schneider Funeral Home, where the Knights of Columbus will attend in a group for the Scripture service which will be held at 8 p.m.

Services will also be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Melrose, Iowa, with burial in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Melrose. Friends may call Wednesday evening at Humeston Funeral Home, Albia, Iowa.

Scieszinski was born February 15, 1908, in Melrose, Iowa. A Janesville resident since 1928, he was employed 37 years by GMAD, retiring Feb. 1, 1968. From 1968 to 1982, he was employed by The Janesville Gazette as a driver. A World War II Army veteran, he was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Moose Club, UAW Local No. 95 Retirees, Knights f Columbus, 4th Degree, American Legion of Milton Junction, and the Eagles Club of Beloit.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
