Henry Hoffner family

HOFFNER

I am seeking any information available about the Henry Hoffner family in Onawa around 1900. Henry, my great-grandfather, was married to Minnie, and they had several children when they moved from Illinois to Onawa about 1900. They were previously farmers, so they may have farmed, but Henry also became involved in carnivals, so he could have been in some sort of entertainment business, like working at a theater.

They had two more children, Henry E. Hoffner in 1901 (died 1902) and Charles Hoffner in 1903. By 1920 they had moved back to Illinois.

I'd appreciate any info, as that is a period in their life I've just found out about and would like to know what they were doing in Monona County.

Many thanks!

Tim
