Mabel Hollenbeck, 84, Indian Hills Care Center, died Thursday, November 24, 1983, in a Sioux City hospital.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Walter Funeral Home in Mapleton, Iowa. The Rev. Philip Ritter officiated. Burial was in St. Clair Cemetery at Ute, Iowa.

Mrs. Hollenbeck, the former Mabel Stockfleth, was born February 16, 1899, to Fritz Stockfleth and Elvina (Miller) Stockfleth near Anthon, Iowa. She was raised in the Anthon community, later moving to Sioux City. She married Myron Hollenbeck in Sioux City. He died in 1952. She had worked for various nursing homes in Sioux City. She entered the Indian Hills Care Center about three years ago.

Survivors include one sister, Doris Sorensen of Sioux City, and one brother Alvin of Schleswig, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and seven brothers.
