Mrs. Guy (Eva Marie) Kunkel, 76, of Mapleton, died Sunday, November 20, 1983, in a Sioux City Hospital after a short illness.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. A.W. Behrens officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. A rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Walter Funeral Home.

The former Eva Marie Boeche was born October 7, 1918, to Louis and Mary (Uhl) Boeche at Mapleton. She lived her entire life in the Mapleton Community.

She married Guy Kunkel September 26, 1926, at Mapleton.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the St. Mary's Guild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, one grandson, one brother and one sister.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. John (Edith) Christopherson of Sioux City: a son, Jimmy of El Paso, Texas: five grandchildren: two great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Virgil (Doris) Trieber of Danbury.

Pallbearers were Lawrence Bray, Russell Trieber, Vernon O'Meara, Everett Price, Richard Schimmer and Virgil Kunkel.
