Leo "Lee" Jungen, 59, of Denver, formerly of Mapleton, was found dead Friday, November 11, 1983, at his home in Denver, of natural causes.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mapleton. Monsignor A.W. Behrens officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery with graveside military rites conducted by Loren Hollister Post 496, American Legion of Mapleton. The rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday with a Bible vigil at 8:00 p.m. in the Walter Funeral Home in Mapleton.

Mr. Jungen was born December 21, 1923, to John and Katherine (Heidesch) Jungen, Sr., in Mapleton. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and later in the CIA. Because of poor health, he retired in 1960. He lived in Washington, D.C., for a few years, later in Tampa, Florida, and had lived in Denver for the last year.

He was a Catholic and was a member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Survivors include a son, Lt. Mark with the U.S. Navy in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; a daughter, Mrs. Gary (Susan) Ebanks of Tampa; a twin brother, Leonard of Mapleton; two sisters, Mrs. Delmond (Mary) Scheer of Mapleton and Mrs. Martha Gotto of Denison, and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Donald Theobald, John Wooster, Lavon Ernst, Clifford LeFebvre, Nick Gotto and William Chubine.
