HAROLD LOWELL PARR 

     Harold Lowell Parr, 67, Onawa, passed away October 5,1980 ar a Sioux City Hospital after a long illness.   

     He was born June 29, 1913 at Turin, Iowa, to Amos and Mabel Ingram Parr  He farmed around Monona County and later was employed at Langren Elevator in Onawa.  He retired in 1967 following an accident at elevator and had lived the last 20 years at Onawa.   Harold had a specia wayl with children he was loved by them.  

     Survivors include his mother  Mrs. Mabel Parr, Onawa; 4 brothers, Glenn, Pisgah, Iowa; Charles, Onawa, Iowa; Gene, Moorhead, Iowa; Ivan Kirkman, Iowa, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.  

     He was preceded in in death by his father. 

     Services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 1980, at the United Methodist Church at Onawa with Rev. Herbert Foxworthy officiating.  The organist, Mrs. Clara Kelley, accompanied the soloist, Mrs. Fred Gibson, who sang the selections "How Great Thou Art" and "In The Garden" 

     Bearers were Paul Parr, Jack Parr, , Richard Parr,  Lyle Parr,  Arthur Parr, and Russell Parr.         Interment was in Grant Cemetery at Rodney, Iowa with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home of Onawa, Iowa.
