FUNERAL WEDNESDAYChris Larsen, well known farmer of near Ticonic, was found dead in the pasture at his home Monday by relatives.
He is survived by his wife and three children. Funeral services were held Wednesday from the church at Castana with H. B. Hawthorne officiating and the Barnard Funeral Home in charge.
Chris Larsen was born in Denmark in 1868 and came to the United States in April 1887. He was united in marriage March 2, 1896 to Pauline Skow. To this union five children were born, two of whom preceded him in death, in infancy. He is survived by his wife, two sons Frank of Castana; Ernest of Onawa, a daughter Kathrina Wilson of Castana; one step-daughter Johanna Larsen of Omaha and ten grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Petra Christensen, of Sloan.

DIES SUDDENLY AT HOME.
Chris Larsen, pioneer Monona county farmer, was found dead in his pasture Monday morning by Faye Golden, his hired man.Mr. Larsen had gone out Sunday morning to fix fence and didn’t return.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 o’clock in Castana. Burial was in Moorhead.
He is survived by four children: Mrs. Will Larson of Omaha, Frank Larsen, of Castana, Ernest Larsen of Glidden, and Mrs. Harry Wilson, of Castana.
