18 November 2020Leroy Robert Steiner, 68, of Onawa, Iowa passed away November 11, 2020 at MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center, Sioux City, Iowa.
A Public Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at the Rush Family Chapel, Onawa, Iowa. (Social distancing measures must be followed-Due to Covid-19 restrictions- Please bring and wear masks.) A Private Family Memorial Service will be held with Pastor Linda Boggs officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Emerson, Nebraska. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.
Leroy Robert was born March 22, 1952 the son of Fred Adolf and Helen Caroline (Heinemann) Steiner. He started at Burgess Health Center in 1971 in the Housekeeping department and worked there until his retirement in 2017. He was a very hard-working man.
He loved to watch cartoons and movies. Leroy enjoyed spending time with all of his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his four sisters, Carol Steiner of Whiting, Iowa, Lois (Mike) Ellis of Onawa, Iowa, Marie Laughlin of Onawa, Iowa, and Susan Loyd of Olive Branch, Mississippi; one brother, Bob (Susan) Steiner of Turin, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Adolf and Helen Caroline (Heinemann) Steiner; sister, Diane Batchelder; and brother-in-law, Tom Batchelder.
