Isaac “Doe” Gordon Walker, 92, of Onawa, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020, in Onawa, Iowa surrounded by his family.

A funeral mass will be 10:30 A.M. on Friday, November 13, 2020 at St. John Catholic Church, Onawa, Iowa with Father Michael Erpelding, Celebrant, officiating. (Social distancing measures must be followed- Due to Covid-19 restrictions- Masks are required for the visitation and service.) Burial will be in the Onawa Cemetery, Onawa, Iowa. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, November 12, 2020 with a Scriptural Wake Service at 7:00 P.M. at St. John Catholic Church, Onawa, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.

Isaac Gordon was born on December 13, 1927, in Pickle City, Iowa, to Isaac Walker and Ruth (Hime) Walker. He attended school in Pickle City, Iowa and graduated from Blencoe High School. He was the assistant Postmaster in Onawa, Iowa for many years.

He married Mabel Gertrude (Burger) Walker on August 20, 1949, in Blencoe, Iowa. Seven children were born to this union, Theresa, Kathleen, John, Joe, Jerry, Bob, and Anita.

Doe loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed gardening, canning, mushroom hunting, wintering in Arizona, fishing in Canada with his brother-in-law, Richard Shaw, and taking many trips with family and friends.

He was a faithful member of St. John Catholic Church in Onawa, Iowa and was a charter member of the Onawa and Blencoe Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his children, Theresa Olson of Savage, Minnesota, Kathleen Bitner of Gibson City, Illinois, John (Linda) Walker of Tucson, Arizona, Jerry (Linda) Walker of Onawa, Iowa, Bob (Becky) Walker of Castana, IA, and Anita (Terry) Madsen of Onawa, IA; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Stanislav of Onawa, IA; and several nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel (Burger) Walker; his parents, Isaac and Ruth (Hime) Walker; son, Joe Walker; infant granddaughter, Sarah Walker; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Walker; son-in-law, Steve Olson; brothers, George Walker and Glen (Vera) Walker; and brothers-in-law, Milo Stanislav and Richard (Donna) Shaw.
