MRS. METTE C. TORBENSEN

Mrs. Mette C. Torbensen was born near Dyblol, Sonder Jylland, February 16, 1859, and died near Moorhead, Iowa, July 4, 1931, at the age of 72 years.

She came to America when she was 16 years of age. On July 3, 1892, she was married to Jens Torbensen. Soon after they came to Moorhead and bought a farm west of the town. Her husband died about six years ago.

Those who are left to mourn her departure are: One son Svend Torbensen; an adopted daughter, Mrs. Ingeborg Torgensen; two brothers, Peter Danielsen, Viborg, South Dakota, Jorgen Danielsen, Junction City, Oregon; one sister, Mrs. Hans C. Hansen, Viborg, South Dakota.

The funeral services were held at Ingemann's Lutheran church, July 6, 1931.—Moorhead Times.
