MRS. WM. COLE
Word came to Castana Wednesday that Mrs. Will Cole had died Tuesday afternoon July 14 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Theodore Swanson at Little Sioux. Mrs. Cole was a daughter of the late David Tacy well known to the older Castana people, and she was a sister to Mrs. Frank Cox. The Cole family lived in Castana and vicinity for many years and have a large acquaintance here, and while Mrs. Cole has not been in good health for some time her passing away will be a shock to the friends who knew her.

We understand the funeral services will be held at Pisgah at 2 o'clock Friday and the burial will be in Center cemetery.

Through the kindness of Mrs. W. C. Rue the Times was able to obtain the following brief obituary:

Cora Belle Tacy was born at Dunlap, Iowa, December 10, 1873, and passed from life July 14, 1931, at the age of 57 years, 7 months and 4 days. She lived in Dunlap until she was about 1 years of age and then moved with her parents to Castana. In 1891 she was united in marriage to William Cole. To this union four children were born: Neva Swanson of Little Sioux; Lester of Broadwater, Neb.; Gladys Smith of Palestine, Texas and Walter of Little Sioux, all of whom are left to mourn the passing of mother.

Besides her husband she also leaves two sisters, three brothers and seven grandchildren, and many other relatives as well as a host of friends.

The Castana Times extends | its sympathy as well as that of the community to Mr. Cole and family. They are old friends and not to be forgotten in their sorrow.
