DENISON, Iowa -- Terry Wayne Gallentine, 56, of Denison died Friday, Nov. 15, 2002, at Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Huebner Funeral Home in Denison. Burial will be in St. Clair Cemetery, Ute, Iowa. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Terry was born Sept. 25, 1946, in Lake City, Iowa, the son of Dale and Esther (Heath) Gallentine. He grew up on a farm near Harcourt, Iowa. After high school, he attended Iowa State University in Ames, where he graduated in 1969 with a degree in aerospace engineering.

On Dec. 29, 1977, he married Sue Edgington of Mapleton, Iowa.

He was a member of the U.S. Team Roping Championship and American Quarter Horse Association. He enjoyed roping and showing quarter horses in various events.

Survivors include his wife, Sue of Denison; two sons and their wives, Scott and Katreana of Clever, Mo., and Jeff and Amy of Kansas City, Mo.; his father and stepmother, Dale and Marianne of Harcourt, Iowa; a brother, Rich of Scott City, Kan.; a sister and her husband, Pat and Roger Anderson of Duncomb, Iowa; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Esther.
